I've been bowling for a year now using a "Too Hot" ball all the time. My average score is 164. I'm left handed (the only one around here) so i have problems when the lanes are new oiled. I get almost no hook at all even decreasing my speed. I must play at 20 - 21 km/ha speed to get some reaction at the backend. I normally play over 2. arrow from left side. Very often pin no 5 and 5-8 are left on the board. I've tried to play on every arrow on the left side without any improvement of my scores. My team members are all right handed so i can't play their balls. I've tried but the grips don't fit at all. The man at the pro shop even drilled my thumb hole with right handed pitch, so i bled every time i bowled more than 6 - 7 games. I nearly gave up the sport when a junior national player took a closer look at my ball. He re - drilled the thumb hole and at least i now have one problem less to worry about. I'm going to buy me a new ball but have no idea what i should look for. Are there some (left handed) players out there who will give me some advice? I need a ball that hooks more on oily lanes. The one i have now works best as a spare ball. I'm going to play in the national league this season so i really need to improve my game. Sorry about my bad spelling. i'm Norwegian.

Hi:
What company are you interested in using? If you like Storm i would recommend the Core Power Lrg or the XFactor Duece. They are great bowling balls that can handle the oil very well.

If you are the one... Then why do they still stand...

Craig, is your signature a poke at me . . ??? Hehe. Hey paintbrush, your spelling is great, better than a lot of people that have been speaking the language (or trying to at least) their entire lives. Craig gave you a good suggestion, those are both great balls. I'm not lefthanded, but I try at it every once and a while . . .

Forget Kung Fu, I know Ron Bahr!!!
The only difference between youth and adult leagues are that the big boys are allowed to whine. They're more entertaining anyway.

Paint-
Da Lefty is correct. LRG and Duece are very nice for oil, and should help you alot. I know equipment can be pricey in Europe, so some older balls that you might be on the lookout for: Super Power, La Nina, Trauma ER, Erase It, and maybe even Trauma Response. You might be able to get a good deal price wise on these balls.
Good luck, keep up the hard work!
