Are there 2 different TROPICAL STORM'S?
« on: July 03, 2008, 01:02:15 PM »
As far as ball reaction goes? Or is every single Tropical Storm that has been released the same exact ball?

Bowling This Month has reviewed this ball 2 times (which were 2 years apart)!

It appears that the Tropical Storm reviewed in 2005 goes longer with slightly less backend that the one Review from 2007.

Here's the OVERVIEW's of both reviews:

My guess is they are intentionally the same ball, however small variances in the chemistry between production runs can cause slight changes in ball reaction. Its probable they tested balls with different colours and the different pigments affect the hardness of the coverstock.

OR

The human error of perceived difference. I'm not sure how they arrive at those numbers but I would guess it is pretty hard to be absolute with it. Perhaps the lane condition has gotten drier over the 2 years?

My bet would also be on simple production variances. And a different internal weight distribution affects the ball reaction, too.
