Thinking of getting a Natural. I am a stroker with 275 RPM and 15 MPH ball speed. Good axis rotation. Curious how I should get it drilled. Was thinking 4 3/4 pin to PAP, pin over bridge. Thoughts?

With your ball speed I think that drilling would work fine, you could even go a little stronger if you wanted. I drilled mine last night and went 4 1/2 under bridge rolls amazing but my ball speed is about 4mph higher then yours.

Ball speed measured where in the heads or at the pin deck?

The original poster who started the thread (aka "the OP"). The OP mentioned his 15 MPH ball speed. There''s a big difference between 15 MPH off your hand vs. 15 MPH at the pin deck. The ball slows down significantly before it reaches the pin deck. Most people here seem to quote ball speed off their hand, yet all the centers I know of measure the speed at the pin deck (or rather at the location of the camera).

I am very well aware of all of that, but I also mentioned my ball speed as well.

My ball speed is similar to yours. Rotation is in 30 degree range and my rpm''s are slightly higher. My PAP is 4x0 (I''m inverted). Here is how I have mine layed out (polished of course ) Oh, I also loft as well ... http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z163/fbm357/stormnatural.jpg
I love the roll on this ball!

How do you like it polished? I love mine but it hooks, and I'm considering drilling another pin up and polishing it.

It's urethane, just slap a label drill on it and go. If it's drilled 3 3/8 or 3 1/3 from you PAP, do you think it's going to make a difference?

If you're inverted shouldn't your PAP have a number going down vs. 0"?

I havent seen 1 yet roll well thats pin up.. they all look like plastic.. But almost anything pin under has been good I have no idea why tho..

I have a pin up Natural, not a problem. But to support your theory, I think your rev rate needs to be high if you do a pin up drill. And high is not 300, 350 or 400 rpms like some like to tell me. LOL

That would be correct. Inverted tracks have a Vertical Axis Coordinate that is down the VAL. 0 is straight across the grip center.

PAP was 4 3/4 x 3/4 down and recently had it remeasured. Made the statement based upon the former (i.e. inverted)

I like it a lot! (polished that is). I threw the ball several weeks OOB and was really impressed. After many games, I hit it with Valentino Resurrection and Snake Oil to see what reaction I would get. I can only describe the reaction as 'deceptive', especially on extremely light hits. With this ball, I play 9-5 (shot will vary from house to house), but the outside line works extremely well.
It's quite refreshing to have a 'urethane' look on the lanes. I stopped bowling soon after the birth of resin and when I returned, I had a 'urethane' game which needed to be changed due to the ridiculous strength of the new equipment. Appreciate the urethane so much, I ordered a HYPE from Tekneek

Mine is drilled Pin UP and i've had great luck with it on teh burn. Pin Down i would imagine it would probably roll up sooner, though with that cover i think for me at least its more about where i set it down than anything.
