Get a new ball for xmas...
Been thinking about hyper cell and zero gravity...
Any thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks!
Current:
Byte, hyroad pearl, speedzone, tzone.
league 1x/wk and wanting to start tourneys soon.

If you had to have one, I'd wait for the zero gravity. I'm a higher speed (18 mph at pins) higher rev (425+ rpms) so big hooking balls like Syncs and presumably Hyper Cells only work for practice and half a game. On house patterns, they are essentially useless for me as well.
The lower diff on the ZG means it won't over flare and peter out resulting in hits similiar to soggy diapers. If you need "help" get the HC, if not, wait for the ZG.

North face is right, but I love the cell and I'll gotta get the the zg....you could just wait for the zg nano later on lol

numbers looks like a tribal why wait

Get the Hyper Cell now. Use it to win pots and brackets, save that money for the ZG.

Looking at what you have in your arsenal and without not knowing other details about your game, in comparing BYTE vs HYPER CELL:
- HC, earlier than BYTE.
- HC, more pronounced direction changed ( than BYTE)
- both have arguably about the same heavier rolling ability, however the HC with more of a lope type shape (similar to what you can see in the DEFIANT/TOTALLY DEF).
My thoughts on the HC:
- surprisingly clean, granted I chose not to throw this oob, in majority of cases I typically never shine a ball that comes from the plant with surface. For this I suspected it would be too much ball to get a read for what I'd be bowling over the last two weeks and currently.
- very angular, as angular as the TOTALLY DEFIANT (based on the way I have this HC lightly shined with storm polish)
- most recently I've favored Roto High ends moreso than Storm, minus the BYTE (great ball)

numbers looks like a tribal why wait
I know several that gave the tribal a shot and already gave it up.
Plus were talking high end assymetrical solids...why would recommend a polished pearl symmetrical? Even if numbers are the same

When comparing the Tribal to the ZG you guys are failing to acknowledge how much the balls intermediate differential affects overall potential and ball motion.
The core in the ZG is way stronger than the tribals and Ill guarantee the cover is as well.
And there will be many more layout options with the ZG to fine tune it since it's an asymmetrical core.

The reason I suggested the Tribal is its a very good ball. I have a lot of Storm stuff and I like all my stuff but the numbers are similar and yes its a pearl and symetric but with this cover its still pretty strong.

That is like comparing basketball to baseball because they are both sports and use a round ball.
I drilled a Tribal and to compare to my Byte. No where close to each other. Byte made my Tribal look like a spare ball.
