Title: hyper cell skid
Post by: thewhiz on November 30, 2015, 10:31:49 PM
Wondering what ball would be 3 to 4 boards stronger than the skid?  Roto grip or storm?

A sinister is your next step up. Gives you some options...if its too strong..some polish should just make it barely stronger than the skid.

More me that cage core provides a bit more umph of the spot versus the nucleus..

I would also look at the Lock. This ball has a strong but smooth and controlled move. If you don't like its reaction, just adjust the cover for what you need, it takes them well.

I have a lock.  Was looking for something in between the 2.  But maybe I am good with what I got.  Thanks.

Why not an original Hyper Cell?  They are great 1-2 punch.

@thewhiz

No offense to anyone's comparisons (of balls here in the form that are offering advice)... the Eternal Cell's factory cover prep is identical as far as "length" compared to Hyper Cell, but Eternal arguably is noticeably more "lazy"off the spot compared to Hyper Skid (and I have all 3... Amateur staff on website under Marvin J.Hale).
My question would be where do you want this next ball above Skid "stronger" (i.e. front/mid/back)

yes I want the ball to be stronger than the skid.  at least 2-3 boards.
