compliment/ball down from the hybrid Match-up
« on: January 23, 2019, 06:44:57 PM »
I have a match-up hybrid that I love; use it for the lighter side of medium sport shots.  used to have a Ride as a ball down.  well, the Ride has a crack, full circumference of the ball.

instead of phrasing this as looking for a replacement for the ride; I am looking for something that I complement the match-up hybrid.

looking for something I can keep on a more direct line when on a shorter sport pattern.

was considering the after dark solid, not sure if the shadow ops would be a good fit.  any other options?  I throw 99% storm; but I am open to most of the brands if it is the right ball for my needs.

Thanks,

I'd honestly go After Dark Pearl.

Hustle ink is the ball

Don't forget that storm and 900 are one in the same

I'd honestly prefer the weaker after dark solid. Contradictory to dooms choice the AF solid (which comes polished) is smoother off the spot. As was the loco solid vs loco pearl, shout solid vs scream.  The bloodline is strong with storm/roto/900g polished solids. And they are the true step down from a shiny hot line storm ball.

I recently polished a devour that I hated, and probably put 3 games on it in nearly 3 years. After the polish, game 3 on the ball I go 300 on my dry @$$ League shot.

Polished solid is the way to go!!!

thanks for the feedback.

I will be asking my PSO about the hustles and both After Darks.  leaning towards one of the after darks, as I have never had a Global ball yet.

Global has been making the entry level storm and roto for years.

Your ride is a 900.

The no.1 thing I saw storm change recently once gaining controlling interest is ensuring thicker coverstocks.

Have no fears, it's literally like a 3rd storm brand...

Nice because San Antonio had a reputation there for awhile.  Glad to hear about the thicker cover stocks.  Future's bright for 900 for sure.

i love my after dark pearl.  I enjoy the length i get from it but its not jumpy on the back end either.  and like i stated in another thread, i can't put it down right now.  its been the perfect house shot ball for me, and i'm even finding good use for it in my sport shot league

One ball did me in and I switched.

The original respect is beyond better than anything storms made in years....I know cause I spent tons of money on both storm and roto...

I been slowly switching every thing over and giving away my storm/roto stuff to select bowlers who can use a specific reaction...now I'm one happy dude...and now 900 global exists in my county lol
