Going to the TNBA Eastern Regional
« on: October 14, 2012, 04:01:19 PM »
I have a couple of questions and am looking into a 2 ball of storm/roto balls to go to the Eastern Regional. I had great success with my Motiv Primal TV4 last year and i want to replace that ball with 1 or 2 of the 3 balls i have in mind. I know one of the houses (team house, I believe) has gone to synthetic from wood, so I'm taking that into account. However, i do not believe the shot will be juiced enough to make me throw my strong bag. Here's what i had in mine:
My Stats,
Lefty, 16 mph, 300 rpms, AR ~50, AT=13*
PAP: 5.5"x1" up
Drilling sums 110, 2:1 ratio

The Balls:
Tropical  Heat Hybrid to replace Primal (50x4.5"x35) hole 2" down
And either
Roto-Grip Scream (45x3.375"x35), p3
Tropical Breeze Cherry/Black (same layout), hole 2" down

My main question is, how strong is the Breeze with a .009 diff. A friend of mine swears by it but has a higher rev rate, so im afraid in my hands it will ping 7's. I saw the shout in the hands of my boss who is a low rev bowler and it rolled pretty well and wasnt really weak so i assume the scream will be decent in my hands because i have a higher rev rate. Just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks in advance.

No opinions? Has anyone thrown the tropical breeze?

I have not thrown the Breeze, but my teammate throws this ball on flying backends. If you have a decent amount of revs this is the ball for you, provided you swing the shot. I have seen a low rev bowler have success with it as well but only going up the boards. I have not seen anyone go down and in and be successful, with it as yet.
