Title: IQ TOUR 30 vs. IQ TOUR POLISHED AT 1500
Post by: ryguy119 on December 29, 2015, 10:24:17 AM
Looking to buy the IQ TOUR 30 soon. I really love my IQ Tour. I currently have it at 1500 with polish. The reviews on the IQ 30 have been great . I am just hoping the 2 balls react differently. I know one is a solid and the other is a pearl but since I shined my tour up, it gets great length with decent back end. It really almost acts like a pearl ball should. The iq tour always lets me know what the lanes are doing and I can easily adjust from there.  That is why I am debating pulling the trigger on a new IQ 30. I would love to hear from someone who has thrown a polished iq tour and also the iq 30. I hate carrying 2 balls that basically have the same reaction. Also looking at either the Lock or the new Alpha Crux to replace my aging Crux.

Hit the IQ30 with 4000 wet on a spinner and take IQ Tour to 3000 wet on a spinner (or haus machine, if your shop has one).  Also, don't lay out the IQ30 to react too violently.  However, be warned that my PAP is only 3 1/2, therefore everything is a little cleaner early for me.

I don't think the OP is looking to change the surface on the IQ Tour Solid. I think he is just wondering if it's worth having both at the same surface.

I personally wouldn't because I feel like there'd be a little too much overlap unless you took your IQ Tour you have now to 2000 or 3000 sanded.

I would do a Ride or Joy Ride as something weaker
