My lucid needs a compliment
« on: December 10, 2013, 09:05:07 PM »
Just got back into bowling after a 13 year  layoff. Too long I know.lol. I'm a tweener  mid speed. Looking for another high performance ball that would compliment my lucid. I've had good luck so far with just my lucid and a spare ball, but need somthing to add to the bag. 200 average and hopefully raising. But I'm really out the loop on bowling tech. Please help.
In my bag......
Storm lucid
T-zone spare

What kind of a shape are you looking for? Similar with less overall? More skid snappy? The thing that popped into my mind first (assuming you'd like to stay with storm anyway) is the Byte. I've seen people of all different styles throw it and have great success with it. Depending on drilling and surface it could easily be the ball you go to to get down the lane a little further. Just a thought.

I've been actually thinking the byte, I've been reading a lot where people suggest to get a solid if throwing a pearl, but the lucid to me grips a lot earlier than any pearl I've seen out there. The byte from what I've heard though is a hell of a ball

The BYTE is an absolute great pairing for one seeking another hi-end asymm from the transition of a LUCID.

However I would suggest you try a symmetric solid, I.e. Marvel-S. You'll get the cover of a hi end plus a definitively proven wt. block seen in many Storm balls.  This in my opinion would give you more range than having two asymm pieces.

Fyi the BYTE shape as you may have seen is totally different (even though they share the same cover) than the LUCID.

Any further questions feel free to give me a buzz.
Cheers

"Lucid, you are a fine-looking orb. And you smell nice." (That's TWO compliments)
