How do these 3 balls compare? I have a tour solid that i really like and curious how these tow compare?

The ship is cleaner with more off the spot than all three
The IQ tour is the most control and fluffiest off the spot.
The torrent is probably right in-between and produces the most overall hook in oil. It's got great midlane and makes a larger controlled move off the spot than both the IQ and ship.
Duke made it look pretty good on the celeb super clash
I know it's on my hit list. I enjoy mid price solids more so than high end. The torrent and dare devil trick got my attention, but so does that sure lock...even though I SUREly don't need hahaha.

I LOVE my Rocketship. For me, it's a little longer and stronger than the IQ, but every bit as smooth.

I have an IQ Tour with the same layout that I would put on the Torrent (if I buy one). I am wondering if I put a 2000 grit surface on the IQ, would I need the Torrent?
Not trying to hijack the thread, but my question seems to fit with the OP question.

The Torrent is actually most similar to The Wipe Out and The Rocket Ship. All three had very similar numbers and the same coverstock, R2S Solid.

At the same surface and with the same drill, these would be two different balls that would compliment each other. If the IQ started flatting 10 pins, the Torrent would be a good choice to ball up since it has a cleaner look through the front and more motion off the spot from its higher diff.

The Wipe Out is WAY weaker than either of these.

Which finish is considered stronger (oil handling) 3000 sheen like the Ship or 4000 sanded like the IQ?

3000 plus any compound is well over 4000 grit.

I wonder, is the Torrent what they intended the Hy-road Solid to be? The way they've mentioned and compared the HV version of the Booster core and being close in numbers with the R2S Solid cover...got me thinking.
I never owned one but wasn't consensus that the Hy-Road Solid had issues? Core just didn't pair correctly with the cover or something.

Alonzo, your DEAD On point, that's exactly what was storm's intention with the torrent, that the hyroad solid WAS NOT great catch!!!
