Torrent & Dare Devil Trick

Anyone planning on picking up the Torrent or Dare Devil Trick? I feel like both releases won't get a lot of hype and go a bit unnoticed.

That trick is going to be the ball tho!  If anyone has ever rolled an outlaw, marvel solid, marvel-s, IQ tour, troad solid... I'm sure this will fit in just nice...Won't be too strong and probably won't be lazy off the spot.

A good solid symmetrical is what both lines are missing.

They're trying to remake the likeness of the VR solid with the torrent... Hopefully its good

I think the Dare Devil Trick will get more hype than the Torrent.

I agree with Bill, Storm is definitely trying to recreate the VR Solid likeness. That was one ball I've always wanted

Schlem showed their promo video of the Trick during a live stream last night.  It looked GOOD!  But, BJ can make almost anything look good.  :)

Years ago I swiped both an outlaw and victory road solid for $74 each on clearance.  What a deal.

I think the Trick will be a great ball if the original Dare Devil is any indicator. An earlier and smoother version of it that handles a bit more oil should be fantastic. If I can get it on a good deal in a year or so I will probably jump on it even though I probably won't really need it.

Not sure what the deal with the Torrent it. It has a core that's based on the one from the Rocket series and the numbers are very, very similar. Combine that with the same R2S solid coverstock that's on the Rocket Ship and I'm pretty skeptical that it will be significantly different. Same would go for a pearl and hybrid version if they ever come out with them. Well, if they're still using the R2S covers at least. I would look around for a Rocket, Sky Rocket, or Rocket Ship first. Don't think they would be too hard to find and likely at a much better price.

That was my thoughts on the Torrent as well. I went with a Rocket Ship for a killer price through my PSO.

I as well might look into the Dare Devil Trick down the line as I don't really have a spot for it either.

Anyone see that Pin down layout Schlem put on his Dare Devil? I'm wondering how that would do for me as I am also more rev challenged like Schlem stated he is.

From what I saw out of the Torrent in person, it is very similar to the Victory Road Solid. I will definitely have one in the future since I've had success with the Victory Road Solid and T-Road Solid. The Rocket Ship is decent, but most people will never put surfave on it. Plus, I do actually see a difference from the modified core in the new Torrent. Hope a pearl does come out because it's been a bit since we've had that Victory Road shape.
