i may be wrong, but i think i heard some commentator on tv say storm with be putting a hybrid premier line ball in jan or feb. Has anyone heard of this. if so what will it be and do you have any links to see this ball?
-
One new ball literally came out today and guys are clamoring for a ball thats not even out yet.
-
Well.......maybe the gentleman would like a premiere line hybrid. Nothing wrong with that.
-
I could see a Premiere line hybrid to go along with the Vivid and Lucid. Other than that the only other releases I could see is in the Road line & possibly the Frantic line. Pretty sure their next release dates are generally around end of February early March.
-
You sure you aren't talking about the defiant soul? it comes out on january 8th and that is roto grips new premier line hybrid. Was actually watching osku palermaa throw it on xtra frame when the wsob was going on and nearly every shot he threw with it struck lol.. Believe that was the ball he led scorpion with actually
-
positive. they mentioned roto grip was producing 3 new balls but then they mentioned storm will be producing a hybrid coverstock. i remember the commentator saying "its about time"
-
I still want to see a Virtual Energy Nano...Just because. ;D
-
VE Nano would be great.
-
Dang! This going to be awesome! I love everything hybrid that I have ever thrown from Utah! I'm excited!
-

I am fishing for some info from Storm. Once I have it, I will be glad to share.
I do know that Storm always tries to time out a release for the start of the USBC Nationals. This means the staffers get first dibs on it around mid February and then it tends to be general release around March 1. This has been the MO in the past with Storm.
I do know if they do a hybrid of the Lucid cover (NRG with less texture) on the same weightblock, it should compliment the Defiant Soul very well as a "ball down". Everything about the Defiant Soul just reeks of "must have" for the Storm/RG crowd.
-
i think it may be the lucid vision

i think it may be the lucid vision
Lucid vision isnt hybrid i saw a video...its an overseas erg solid i believe
-
ouch

Odds are the next one won't be a spinoff off the vivid or lucid, it will be another unique name..there is a vivid dream out too but not a u.s. Release..odds are the rumors you are hearing are about a new ball that that is unannounced as of yet.
-
I surely hope storm does produce a premier line hybrid soon in America. We have been waiting patiently for a long time.
-
For those of you who came to the Storm MatchMakers as of late, you saw the next release for Storm. It was a red ball with no label. It will be a solid when released in February.
Personally, I'm enjoying the IQ Tour Pearl!!!
-
So typically they start a new line with a solid ball! I hoping new core new cover! Woohoooo
-
I would like to see either a new core shape or the RAD+ core. It will be interesting to see if they release another new core because of the costs involved. I doubt it will be a new core since they just came out with the C3 core on the Tour balls and the M.A.D. core in the Vivid and Lucid. They haven't used the RAD+ core or the Origin core in a premier line ball for a while so maybe one of those? Who knows but it's fun to speculate. I'm hoping the new red demo ball is just a matte finish hybrid. Just because it looks a little dull doesn't necessarily mean it's a solid...unless Storm reps were telling people it's a solid. We'll probably have to wait until January or February to find out.
-
isn't the crossroad & hyroad high performance hybrids?
-
isn't the crossroad & hyroad high performance hybrids?
No, more so mid performance. The last true high end hybrid released-though not asymmetric from storm (In the US) is the Modern Marvel. I must get another before they stupidly phase out that ball too.

No those are mid performance balls. I noticed some guy posted a picture of the new storm ball. I didnt gather the name or core or cover but it looked red and black

I don't know how much work they did with the MAD core from the VIVID/LUCID really looks like they borrowed the core from A.Z.O. check and area check. Not saying any thing bad at all about the ball, just pretty sure its the same cores in all four balls.

Looks like I was wrong...new ball will have a new core.
-
It kinda looks like the Centripetal core modified to be asymmetric...
-
Colors are Cranberry, Orange, and Black.
Scent is Iced Cranberry
Asymmetric Core
That's about all I could tell from the fuzzy picture. Coverstock looks to be a second generation NRG but I'm not 100% certain on that. I think it's a solid but again not 100%.
-
I'm praying it's not NRG
