Am I right in thinking that this pattern is at it's toughest when the conditions are fresh?

Let's hope Jeff gets some decent breaks and maintains his good form!

on a separate note check out Shannon Buchan currently in 30th.. just bowled an 826 for the 1st 3 games.. way more than anyone else in C squad..

That is right, squad gets cut to 24 for the round robin I believe.

I think they cut the field in 1/3

Must admit I replied having read someone else posting about it on another thread. I will check my facts in future before posting!

Yes, this shot is the hardest when it's fresh. I actually bowled in a qualifier for the US Open here in NJ...by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to do in bowling. Miss by half a board left or right, game over man.

After today they cut from 490 to about 120, bowl another 9 games tomorrow, cut to 24, then bowl 24 games of RR match play.

Thanks Shelley. I thought it was something like that, but I only posted the details I actually knew.

I got down there yesterday to watch 2 of the squads, and I spent a couple of games watching Jeff.  He was doing really well, and I hope he continues on this trend for as long as possible.  Good shooting!

P.S. Jeff, thanks for signing my towel!

Day #3 and everyone's average is dropping. You would figure that they would have found a way to play the pattern by now. Right now no one is over 220 and last week on the cheetah it seemed that no one was under 220.

I am really interested to see how this whole thing plays out.  There are some great bowlers at the top of the list.
