Not limiting myself no more!
« on: January 27, 2007, 09:48:21 PM »
I have been throwing Big B for awhile. Alot of the balls I have I like. But the Ultimate Inferno is a big disappointment. That ball hardly move.My fuze elliminator move 100% better than this ball. I am coming back to storm for my high end balls. I have been looking at the storm dark thunder. If any of you stormers out there have this ball, give me your thoughts on this ball.

Thank you

I had this ball and I loved it.  I had to moved up in weight and decided to go with the Thunderstruck Solid instead since my pro shop could actually order that one.  I would have had to order the Dark Thunder online again and that makes me nervous for some reason.

I totally miss that ball...  Very smooth and nice arc.  We are getting it re-drilled for someone else on my team now and it is going to make me sad to see someone else using it.  Well, I guess at least it is doing something other than sitting in my closet.

I didn't particularly care for the Ultimate Inferno either.

I LOVE my Dark Thunder!!!  So much that I am buying another one and I bought the Pearl.  Really smooth and packs a real punch at the pin deck.  Best ball I have ever owned.  Easy to control and really consistent for me, even with carrydown.

I agree that the Dark Thunder is a good ball, but be careful that you are buying it for the right use.  As Mr. Bunnie has mentioned this is a great SMOOTH ball - but it is absolutely not an Ultimate Inferno replacement.  Dark Thunder is a medium oil ball - not a heavy oil ball by any stretch.  I'd look at the Special Agent as an Ultimate replacement...  It will be stronger and more continuous. Dark Thunder would be a replacment for a midrange ball like a Vapor Zone (not exact, similar condition).

Yeah the Dark Thunder is more of a mid-range ball but a great mid-range ball.  If the Ultimate Inferno is supposed to be the heavy oil ball I would listen to greenefam.
