Looking for a Storm Med/Heavy Oil ball...
« on: January 29, 2004, 05:12:51 AM »
to go along with my Brunswick Monster Bruiser.  I like the Bruiser on medium oil but seems to skid in anything heavier than medium.  I know I could play with the surface to help with oily conditions but I like the way it reacts on medium oil too much to mess with it.  The house I bowl in is about 50-50 on med/heavy oil, very rarely will the lanes get much drier than medium.  I'm RH and pretty much play straight up the second arrow (+/- a few boards) with average speed and not a lot of revs...typical shot with Bruiser on medium oil will pretty much go straight down the 8-12 boards and will have a smooth hook into the pocket (on more oil I have a hard time getting it back into the pocket unless I try to force it...then its a crap shoot).
Now, here is the catch...I want to spend around $100 (give or take, about what I spent on the Bruiser)...so, which Storm ball would you recommend.

I would take a look at the Eraser Boost or Super Charge.
Both of these can be found for under $100 plus shipping on the web.
The Super Charge is a bit more expensive but I personally think it
is worth the extra $ because it seems to recover or hold it's line a
bit better on errant shots and I prefer solids over particles.
