VG Drilling
« on: November 11, 2009, 04:17:24 AM »
Need a little help. Wife has a VG, pin about 3", 14lb ball, she throws about 16 mph and more straight up with very little lift or fingers in the ball.  Right now she throws more straight into the pocket with a danger zone, not really any movement with the way she throws.  She does start to get rotation but with the speed she throws it just goes thru the pocket not driving the pocket, so she leaves some weird pickups.  She has a VG and i just wanted to see what layout you think would help her to get some movement out of the ball.  Are you thinking throwing with very little fingers and a speed of 16, she needs a more aggressive drill to start hooking early, or give it a drill pattern to start hooking in the midlanes?

Thanks for any input.

If she doesn't have any hand, then give her a stacked 4x4 drilling to get it to arc fairly strong to the hole. If you just want a little movement, give her a simple label leverage drilling. That ought to do the trick.

Not being a smart azz. Is there a good coach in your area. If so, a couple of lessons would serve better than a new ball.
