Light oil ball
« on: May 22, 2005, 08:02:56 AM »
I'm debating which ball I should get for light oil. It is between the Hot Rod Hybird and on of the Banshees. I have more of a forward roll, throw the ball around 15 mph and have a medium rev rate. I would also like to hear if any one had good experience with these balls.

If you know, why bother asking?
Just buy whatever you want.

Ya if your gonna go storm for light oil go for the hit line, cuz the other balls will be toostrong for absolute light oil.

You could drill either the Banshee or the Hybrid  but drill them with weak pins and I think you would do OK. The Banshee will pick up sooner than the hybrid obviously. Depending on how light the volume and distance you are talking and whether or not its fresh. On a broken down light volume I have had better luck with the Hybrid as its a bit cleaner through the front. If you have a problem with carrydown more than getting it through the fronts you may want to go with the Banshee.

I am not a huge storm guy, but i sold my hybrid after about 10 games because it hooked a lot more then i wanted it to. i drilled it weak, and it was way to strong on the back end. Just my observations.

Maybe not absolute light oil but some thing less agressive than my Ace, which I use for medium to heavy. Something that will hold out there.

I'm getting rid of all of my balls except for my Ace, which I just got.
My power groove hooks like crazy because the pin is right next tp my ring finger. My Ice has to much over/under reaction

I have a Hybrid, it is a bit more on the med side, however...we have lighter nights and it works just fine, need a bit more speed or it will hook more than you think. From looking at your speed and revs, I'd say you'll be OK with it for light oil.
