Hello, im looking for a ball that will get down the lane, further then my gravity shift, but not be to snappy. I have a Gravity shift, Drilled pin under ring, Key under the thumb. and i love this ball for heavier patterns, its to much for my house shot. So im looking for a bowling ball that will not hook as much as this ball does.
Stats are
PAP = 5" x 0
Speed 16-17
Revs 300
Any sugestions on ball or a drill pattern...

The T-Road Pearl would probably be a good choice for you. It'll get down the lane farther than the Gravity will, and still have great backend reaction. As for a layout, you should ask your pro shop operator. He'll know your style and what type of layout you need.

My 1st thoughts are for the Spitfire. But w/the right drilling & cover stock prep. the Shift could work, but I know my particular Shift hooks pretty good angular & has some snap especially on dry/light synthetics. On wood & med oil, my Shift is long w/a more angular path to the pocket but it's pin under ring Mass bias just right & below thumb for backend. My 1st Shift, retired, is pin above ring & MB next to thumb. Long & angular. I don't use it as much because it's 16lbs & I changed to 15lbs. You can move the MB to a weaker position I suppose. I still think for what you're trying to do, the Spitfire is more towards the hook shape you're looking for.
