MoRich Shock & Awe -vs.- Storm Paradigm
« on: January 10, 2006, 01:24:10 PM »
Given a similar drilling, how do these balls compare? Which one handles more oil? Versatility? What about potential for angularity? Control?

I just got ahold of a NIB Paradigm today (see profile for drilling) and I ordered a Shock & Awe as well... I'm wondering if there will be any overlap here before I decide on the drilling for my S&A. Thanks in advance!!!

if you ordered a total shock and awe there is alot of overlap if you ordered the shock and awe dont worry about it.The passion is stronger out of the box than the total shock and awe, both hook at your toes in box finish. I would tame your total down since you already drilled your passion up.

then you will be fine the passion hooks off my hand like the total shock and awe does. So i also have paradigm pin above ring and shock and awe pin under ring the paradigm handles more oil if dulled to roughly shock and awe finish.

I'm not sure why mrbowlingnut isn't understanding the fact that you've gotten the original Paradigm and not the Passion, but whatever. I think that there is potential for overlap, but you can probably avoid it with different drillings and coverstock prep. If you laid them out identically, the Shock and Awe would probably go a bit longer and provide more angular backend. I'm basing that off of what I've read about the Shock & Awe and how it compared to the Absolute Inferno (a ball I owned). The Paradigm should want to pick up in the mids more quickly and will be smoother on the backend. Whether or not you'd want both will depend on how many balls you want to carry. At best, I could see the Paradigm being a medium-heavy ball while the S&A could be a medium, skid-snap type of ball. So, I guess my final answer would be, yes, you could fit them both into an arsenal, but it really depends on how different you want their reactions to be.

ttt

I'd like to hear more... I'm thinking I may have some crazy overlap if I pull the trigger on the S&A...
