Consider all factors equal, what differences/characteristics should be noted on the lanes?
Also, anyone actually have all 3 in rotation and what makes you go to one over the other?

Two of the 3, and the Phaze II is one the best solid balls ive ever thrown. The Marvel Pearl is just a great ball to the right or SLIGHTLY left of a hooking track when you need a early, smooth shape but so grindy like a true solid. Code Black? Maybe someone else can help. I have a Code Red between these two, if the Phaze II is too early/soft and Marvel Pearl ( I prefer it shiny) is a little too far, a 3000 Code Red blends it just right.

Thanks! Hmm yea I wonder if in the situation where the Marvel Pearl is going too long, if the Code Black would be giving the same results. Marvel Pearl is definitely a smooth rolling tank around that track.
Sounds like Phaze II would play well in the same bag as the Marvel Pearl, now to see if the Code Black will or not.

I can answer this question in a few weeks much better as I'm drilling a Code Black soon.

I would think youd have to put surface on one of them.

Agreed. My choice would probably be the Code.

For one of my leagues I only take a Phaze 2 and a Marvel Pearl. Those 2 balls cover all transitions that I see in that league.
I have a Code Black but can't seem to get a handle on it. I won't put the Marvel Pearl and Code Black in the same bag because I see a lot of overlap at OOB. Depending on a bowler's style, you could go with either ball as a step down from the Phaze 2.
As someone stated above, I could see the Code Red (with or without a little surface) fitting nicely between the Phaze 2 and Marvel Pearl.
Just my 2 cents.

Phaze ll> Marvel Pearl>Code Black.
