Marvel-S, Outlaw, or IQ Tour?
« on: October 22, 2013, 06:11:08 PM »
Ok everyone.  After having my Outlaw for a while and shooting having some really good league nights for over a year, I am thinking of potentially upgrading it.

Here are my stats:  Tweener, 430 rev rate, PAP of 4-1/4" straight across, lower track, and speed ranging between 19-22mph.

Basically the pattern at the house I bowl at is medium to medium-heavy at best.  There has been wet/dry this year with the lanes generally playing tighter.  Also, the shot doesn't call for anything such as my Defiant or Rogue Cell being used as that has been too strong.  Only a few times this year, the Critical Theory has come into play.  Most of the time, I have been opening with my Outlaw, and then going down to the Hy-Road, Nomad Dagger and/or Frantic as needed.

The options I've been thinking of so far have been getting a Disturbed, possibly a Marvel-S, or maybe an IQ Tour.  In either case, I want a solid cover to have something smoother and more predictable opening up.  Then I would ball down as needed.

With that being said, do you guys think I'm on the right track or should I consider something different?

I would think the Marvel-S would still be too strong unless you were to shine it. You really cant go wrong with a Disturbed or IQ Tour

Sv is right.

Disturbed should yield more motion off the spot

IQTS should be smother overal.

I personally would wait 3 months and get both on closeout :)
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid

Good point.  Actually, I could see both the Disturbed and IQ Tour complementing each other and that may be the way to go.  Thank you both.

IQ tour is very popular on tournament patterns, not so sure on house shots.  Very smooth and readable.  Also, I guess it is just inflation, but at 430 RPM, I wish I was your kind of tweener.  I am sub 300, and my speed at arrows is about 17, but my pap is almost identical to yours
