Title: Marvel-X vs Punch Out and Marvel Pearl
Post by: mrwizerd on April 28, 2016, 04:22:17 PM
Just bought a Marvel-X (thanks Bowlerpro824) and now trying to figure out how to lay it out.  I have a Punch Out and Marvel Pearl with pin over ring layouts, the only difference is the MP has a P3 balance hole.

Does anyone know which ball the Marvel-X would be closer to?  If its an overseas version of the Marvel Pearl with no noticeable reaction difference then I will bag and box it and wait.  I have provided a link for some ball information below.

Any information that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Centripedal core + R2X pearl. That sounds exactly like the Marvel Pearl

That's what I thought until I saw "Medium oil" on 123bowl.com, according to Storm's website the MP was for Medium-Heavy oil.

Don't put that much base into that

Marvel X is another overseas version of the Marvel Pearl. Overseas also has the Marvel STG/1 which is another R2X Pearl wrapped Centripetal.

Difference would be minor other than what colors can do on the lane... could be greater in the way the R2X Pearl was formulated and poured #shrug

Thank you everyone for the information.  I just got it back to day, next time I bowl I can give a ride and if there is some oil I might be able to do a comparison.
