Title: Master Line...
Post by: AlonzoHarris on January 21, 2019, 10:26:46 AM
For such an iconic line for Storm, It's not getting a lot of love. One ball a year for that line is kind of pathetic. Really hoping for something come March that just wow's me with all this R&D time they've had.

Any predictions or thoughts?

Not meaning to hyjack your thread, but I see you have the Hyroad X in your arsenal. Do you have both of your Hyroads drilled similarly? How much difference is there between the pearl and the X that you can see?

I have the X at 4.5" pin-pap and the Pearl at 5.25' pip-pap, same angles. I see enough difference to carry both as I feel they complement each other rather well. I can start with the X, and once I start leaving 10 pins from it finishing too flat, I can switch to the Pearl for a bit quicker response on the friction.

My advice is to drill the X with a shorter pin-pap than you would usually go with to match the cover and core up a bit better. R2X solid is decently strong, and I hit mine with a 4000 pad to break the polish.

Thanks for the advice! A teammate of mine has the Hy-Road pearl and kills with it! I am picking up a Hy-Road Nano, and then later on the Hy-Road X!!

They say there is a bit of built in length with these Hy-Roads so your advice about using a shorter pin to pap would definitely make sense!

I've been thinking the same thing lately. With how much the Son!Q got hyped up and when it was released, you would have thought we would have gotten something else with it's core by the end of the year. I would still love an R2S Solid Son!Q. Based on everything I've heard about it, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something with SPEC on it, although I don't have any idea on the core.

It's Idol season still. Storm might as well just let this phase blow over.

Go get a respect... Even though they are the same company, I dumped storm. Averaged 243 for 80+ games last season... 900s got some great stuff!

The Respect is tempting.
