Title: Match Up Pearl
Post by: bambam300300@aol.com on June 02, 2017, 10:32:44 AM
What I was looking for:

The Match Up Pearl was drilled with the Pin Up. I am a cranker and I have high ball speed. I wanted the ball to be smooth arcing and read the middle part of the lane well.

What I got:

The Match Up Pearl was exactly what I was looking for. The ball had a great arcing and smooth rolling motion throughout the entire pattern. The ball was not over / under reacting. The ball had great pin reaction. I found the Match Up Pearl to be about 5 to 7 boards stronger than the original Match Pearl.

Your reviews are ridiculous. Are you only doing this to fulfill your staff requirements? You're not actually selling anybody on the ball.

I wanted a smooth arc and have it read the middle of the lane, so I drilled this Storm pearl pin up.

Please stop. Honestly, if you're going to have Storm's member in your mouth, look like you know what to do with it.

I need to rethink my reviews, I'm not nearly this entertaining . .

It was a dark and STORMY night, but, since I like bad weather, I just knew it was gonna be a pearl of a match up for a guy like me.............

😔 I miss Phillip Marlowe's reviews. He was entertaining, and usually accurate.

You won't see him anymore, Darreyl.
Last year I heard from him, he told me this:
"Had to stop bowling 5 years ago - arthritis exacerbated by the need to throw the ball more than 20 mph even using pancake block urethane balls."

 Too bad.

BR was different back then... I still see the OG's that left at tournaments yearly..

About the plane apple pie review that's less filled and with no ice cream, it's so sad...

These match up reviews are Like those bowlers who shoe up for leagues but don't really want to be there...but they have to

You can really tell the agenda too when a "staffer" makes a post and then never checks the replies.  Yeah there are incentives to post reviews, it's not a requirement, but "staffers" are supposed to be representatives for the company, people that know the equipment inside and out.  Don't see how it's good for the company if you post a few cliches in a paragraph when a new ball comes out and dip until the next one.

I just saw one on the display shelf at my center.

One of the sharpest looking balls I have ever seen!

I noted the core numbers almost exactly the same as my beloved Hot Rod Super sport pearlish.
This beloved ball the SSPearl -ish with 3 in the family is to my eye more of pearlish hybrid similar to the Roto Hustle PRO to my eyes instead of a pure pearl.  I also note the difference in core shape.

The Match up Pearl on the other hand = pure pearl.
Around our area the smooth and weakish Match Pearl has really shined on our Super Extreme side to side Wet dry.. Stronger covers like the Punch out leap off this sameharsh wet dry like encountering Cement!  Also I saw at the Villages Senior tournament once Friction showed itself the pros could really shine with the Match Pearl.

The new Match up Pearl I expect to see it split the difference between a Match Pearl and a Hy road Pearl.

Regards,

Luckylefty

I just picked mine up this afternoon. Will be throwing it tomorrow in a tournament when the lanes breakdown. Will report back after. Hopefully will be a step down from my iQ as its starting to die on me.

So pulled out the MU Pearl for only a couple of shots this weekend. It was later in the block and my arm isn't trained for more than 3 game league right now so i wasn't in love with the ball. There were times when it looked fantastic, so i'm sure it was just my fatigue at that point. Will see more tonight during league where i know it will get at least a game in.

So I am by far not staffer. I got this ball out tonight in the second game as the lanes were burning up really fast. I felt like i got a really smooth look out of the ball. When it turned up and when for the pocket it hit like a ton a of bricks. I enjoyed my time with it and completely skipped my Gold Ball and went straight to this after the Code Black. Worked well. I give it a thumbs up!
