Title: Mid Price Set Up?
Post by: yo on July 22, 2009, 05:30:52 PM
i was looking at some of the new stuff and was really impressed by the fast and furious line. do you guys think these balls could make a great 3 ball combo?

Furious (pin under fingers, kick cg out)
Fast (Pin up above fingers, kick cg out)
Natural (label)

It would definitely be a great start to an arsenal without fracturing your wallet.

i was just curious but, can the furious handle a lot of oil? i sometimes run into patterns that have A LOT of oil and it takes a while to break it down. i used to use my rogue until i moved up in weight but have no money to get another one.. =\ oh well got to do what you got to do. would a furious work in heavy oil conditions to help me break it down too?

Those 3 balls should allow you to attack probably 98% of THS.  As for the Furious handling a good amount of oil, possibly, but it depends on your speed, rev rate, tilt, etc.  If those are balanced, ie not speed dominant, with a stronger layout and some surface, it would probably be fine.

I would say this would be a great mid price arsenal.  The R2S is a pretty aggressive cover stock.  It should be fine for the THS.
