Post by: AllStar23 on January 15, 2004, 07:23:06 AM
This is a vid of my x factor playing pretty much straight up which is almost impossible with this ball but there was an OB so i played that and it worked good..

You are a leftey tha's why no one will talk to you j/k
There is a guy in our house that plays about that line
with an xfactor. he gets about the same typ of reaction.
I think he actuall plays alittle straighter, alot like a norm Duke
but not that far out.

I don't think that was straight up.Looked like it was a 12-5 swing.Work on holding the shot longer and not raising up this will give you more consistency with out the chance of making the ball push on you sometimes.

You have good last step timing with a good power/leverage step.Your follow through is good but your spine is tilted more than the recommended forward 10 degree angle.I never pay any attention to the spine angle it just helps when trying to develop accuracy and consistency.

Overall not bad but if you want to improve these are places to start.

Here to fix something I know nothing about..

Thanks everyone For the imput..I appreciate it..Leftside who i think of as my coach since he has helped me tons said the same thing as You did fluffer..

I was playing a little swing shot with that..That is very rare for me and the x factor as i rev it a little less then leftside but rev it pretty well...I usualy always have to swing the X factor..I cant seem to get away from those stone 8s..hahaha..When i practice thursday night i left 7 of them in a 4 game period..and a 9 pin too..It drives so hard.. anybody else with imput?

I also wanna give a thanks to Card79 for changing my vid over so everyone can see it and to leftside too for putting it on a website..Thanks everyone!

I've been left with several 8-10s with my X-factor in the space of 3 games. annoying. They look like such good shots...

Ohhh Crap! You're Supposed To Hit The Pins?!

To avoid the 8, 9, 7 and 10. Do not throw it fast just medium speed. When I throw my XReloaded fast i leave a stone 8 when I slow it down, strike. Impress yourself nobody else. Jason Couch has not won a lot of tournaments he has just been lucky.

Jabroni,

quote
W.....T......F are you talking about?

Your lack of proper language clouds your intellectual brain. What I am talking about is that in order to be a good bowler you do not need to have a big hook or fast ball speed. As an example I point to Jason Couch's (good bowler) big hook and speed just 2 Championship appearances no wins. Then you have Mike Scroggins with 4 Championship appearances with his slow delivery that puts you to sleep. Robert Smith(monster hook and speed) with one win and one Championship appearance. Norm Duke one win and 3 Championship appearances. All in an average 0f 10 events.

A big angle hook and a fast ball is not the shot that will give you the best consistency and accuracy to winning tournaments in a consistent way. You need the ball to move between the pins and the pins hitting each other. Not the ball speeding thru the pins and the pins flying into the back. Then you find yourself facing designer type split or spares that you cannot take them all down. Leaving open frames. Which causes to loose in crucial moments.

That is why Earl Anthony with his wimp and limp release won 41 tour titles. He just had an accurate and consistent release. He let the ball and pins do their part of the job. I never had seen him bowling before until this past Sunday during the flash backs that were shown during the tournament that Walter Ray Williams won.

Visualize the slide, release, skid, roll, angle and observe the chain reactions of what you are trying to accomplish.

That is all that I was trying to express. Not haste and waste.

No offense taken in your expression Jabroni just clarifying my view and that you did not completely understand.

I was trying to just express a friendly opinion and people take it too personal here. That is why there are so many lawsuits in USA. Did not mean to hurt peoples feelings.

What is really sad is when offensive words are express using periods, dots. Instead of trying to understand what others are trying to express. Wish they could express rational thoughts with constructive opinions. I accept being corrected with reasonable answers but to be abusive verbally with ....... is not in my caracter.

Now I understand what happened in the Lane and Storm forums.

Case close and Good-bye.

Hahahah Buzzhead they arent that big but look like clown shoes..there only 9 or 9 1.2 I cant remember..BUt they look HUUUUUUUUUGE..I look like bozo the clown in them..hahaha..YEa thy are sst 6's..I like them a lot.

I dont appreciate you telling my Bro to F off Davey Boy. Thats insulting to me as thats who i consider family.

Jason Couch is not lucky..He is a very good bowler..And if memory serves me correctly he has 3 major title wins? Am i correct on this one guys?

Thanks for all of the positive feedback i appreciate it.

Leftside,

When I say Jason Couch is lucky, Is when he faces bowlers that throws just like him. The bowler that makes the most spares or blinks wins but if he bowls against a consistent and accurate bowler like Mika K and Chris Barnes he looses. I said he is a good bowler but lacks the consistency because of the way he delivers his shots and cannot make his spares. Look at the scores, strikes, spares and open frames he had against Chris Barnes for the Medford Open. He missed his spares and lost. Look at his game in the 32 round against J.D. Archer. If he had bowled against Wes Malott or Steve Wilson instead of J.D, Archer who would have won. He won 3 championships but on this season tour how many tournaments has he have won. I just wanted to bring up the fact about the type of bowler with their way of bowling that are winning the tournaments. Facts that the person that is starting to bowl should look very carefully and visualize the game frame by frame. Observe every shot and accept who is accomplishing more with less effort and conservative deliveries.

Some bowlers have the notion that by having an impressive hook and speed in their games makes them very accomplished bowlers. They could be but they are not. I went to a tournament for the first time and there was a guy that will bring that ball up and wham, strikes. Everybody was going wow. Then wham splits or spares and he could not make them. He did not made the cut and I miss the cut by 5 pins. If he had made his spares he could have made the cut.

That is all that I was trying to say with the word, Lucky.

People play how they are confortable..For scroggins its fluffin the piss outa it..For robert smith its revvin the piss outa it..People play how they want..And if we had a carry contest i bet JC and Robert smith would carry better then Scorggins or Any other fluffers..simply because speed and revs produce carry.
