natural bleeding?
« on: May 30, 2010, 11:54:35 AM »

I know some of the older urethanes used to "bleed" and stuff like that. I just drilled a natural, thrown maybe 10 shots with it, and it's bleeding already.. Anyone else have this problem with them??

thanks

Todd,

Seems like you should know this, but yes, the Natural does weep. It's been said by several that their started this not long after it was drilled.

No problem. Have heard several others say this was normal for this ball to weep or "bleed" some. Never heard why it does, only that it doesn't seem to affect performance.

Yeah, mine bleeds, too.  No problemo.  When conditions warrant using it as a strike ball (when nothing else in the bag will come close), the ball is pure-D money.  And it''s always good as a spare ball.

Well if you cut yourself, "naturally" you are going to bleed.

If you're old enough you will remember that everyone sought out Yellow Dots that did this.  Same kinda thing.

My natural does this too, I was wondering why that ball did that. Good to know that it is normal though.

i asked the Storm rep about this at the last seminar. He said it was the dye used during manufacturing bleeding and it should stop. I don't know if it's true but that's what he told me

Had mine for 6-7 months and it stills bleeds. Doesn't seem to affect the performance.

I would consider this a good thing. The alternative is to have it soak it up and eventually need an extraction.

I picked up a slightly used Natural and refit it for myself. The first 5-6 games were fine but after I used it the last time I cleaned it and put it in my bag. I pulled it out 4 days later and the ball was glistening like a freshly polished Black Knight!!! I wiped it down with some Zapp It and it was fine but it did bleed just sitting in my bag in the shop.
