new ball?
« on: July 28, 2007, 05:23:34 PM »
I just bought a secret agent the other day. stacked leverage with pin 3 and 3/8 from PAP. out of box the balled rolled early and died before it hit the pocket. so i polished and now ball saves energy down lane and has strong reaction and haven't bowled under 7 with it. im a tweener medium revs and medium to slow speed. i also bought the t-road solid and haven't drilled it yet. i want it to have a strong arc on heavy oil and power in the pocket. How should I lay it out? (any suggestions are welcome-right handed)
I am looking for a ball that will give me room on the tougher MJMA shots and i want the ball to have medium to high length with an agressive back end. but instead of an arc i want it to go down and snap agressively to the pocket.
What do you recommend and if possible how would you lay it out.(I'm willing to try anything)

Well, it sounds like for one, that you are not bowling on enough oil for the secret to make a big move. It's not a huge hooking ball, but it is decent with awesome carry and hitting power. I actually took mine down to 500 for the PBA Shark pattern, and loved the reaction so much I just kept it.

I would go probably pin under ring, and cg 2 inches away from gripline for an arcing ball motion you were wanting.
