I must say. I am a little concerned the cover will overpower the core. I will stay away from this initially.

I'm very interested to see how this ball will role.
Can't help but feel that this is either going to be a really good ball or it's just gonna role terribly. I guess only time will tell.

Agree with Northface!

Where are the Rotogrip releases? You have had the Crux and now this.
-
It is an IQ ball from Storm. Not taking away from the ball, but it will more than likely be good, see some use on tour and in international play, and flood the league scene.
As I said nothing against Storm or the IQ Tour Nano, but that's the most likely scenario I see.

Roto doesnt flood the market, partly why Im leaning towards their equipment, the streamlined product lineip.
-
Roto does 3 balls in January and 3 balls in July. The release 2 balls per line every year, with color changers to the Scream and Shout.
As for the Nano, it will be sooner than the Tour Solid, but not as early as the Marvel-S. I am excited to match this up with the Crux for a good 1-2 punch on anything with head oil.

Very cool. FYI there are MANY bowlers using the IQ tour solid....THAT say it isn't strong enough but they love the reaction, love the hook shape, BUT it needs a Lil more umph on the fresh or heavier patterns. Insert the NANO, yo.

This seems to be getting back at the intent of the original IQ solid (not the tour solid) where that line would have something to handle higher volume. It'll be interesting to see how the core/cover match. As robs247 mentioned, the ball could be really good or it could be a dud. Only time will tell how it rolls once released.

The original IQ was more of a "Marvel of Power." As it had the Marvel core and the Reign of Power cover. I think it was too strong of a combo for most and many saw it as a "dud." Storm has seen over the last few years that bowlers want down lane motion and they have delivered on that motion with balls like the IQ Tour series, Zero Gravity, Crux, Optimus and so on. I am eager to get my hands on this release due to how specie other Tour releases have been.

I must be in the minority, the Optimus does nothing down lane, its basically all forward and kind of hook stops, kind of like the Reign.

Its so crazy cuz my optimus is the most angular symmetrical pearl i have ever thrown..

My logic:
I liked the VG Nano, but not the Marvel-S...
I like the IQ Tour Solid, but not the Marvel-S...
Therefore, I will like the IQ Tour Nano.
Maybe, maybe not.
The only Storm balls that I've not matched up well with lately are the Marvel-S and the Modern Marvel - which both have the same core. Maybe the Nano cover on a different symmetrical core will work well for me.

Found this video if anyone is interested.

It looks like the colors of the XXcel by Ebonite.
