Will we ever see one?

I'd be shocked out of my shoes if the next Master line release wasn't an IQ.  There are so many people asking for one.  I think we see it in December or January.  However, I have zero inside information, this is just personal speculation.

Regretting more and more not waiting and buying an IQ Tour solid recently.  Especially since imo it should be priced more like the better ball the Hy-Road.  Wish I could have gotten a fusion or even nano back in the day or wait for what is coming.  Oh well.

What's really funny is that I think that every single other IQ Tour they made was better than the solid.  People still use the pearl, I still see the Fusion all the time, the Nano was perhaps the best one, and the 30 appears from time to time.  All of those look good, but whenever someone pulls the Solid out and says, "Oh yeah, this is my go to ball, I strike with it all the time, you're wrong," and then they throw it, and it's 9/ for days.  I swear it just looks so good going down the lane and always hits the pocket so it's just an illusion that it's actually good or that people actually score with it.  I had two single good days with an IQ Tour, shot 750 with one lefthanded, then went 300-279-267-247 the middle 4 games of singles and doubles at state a couple years ago, and that's absolutely it.  Tons of 210-230 games and a lot of "man that should have been a strike."

IQ Tour solid definitely seems like the ball to pull out when you just know you going to struggle even to get to 200.  Still used to throwing a whole lot of urethane in practice so at least I know how to attack with it from outside 10.  I am sure it will grow on me some especially if it saves my bacon on some tough conditions but IMO it should be priced like the Hy-Road as the R&D is long paid for.

Agreed. As I will always mention, I'll always be lucky that I purchased all of them (except the 30 just the original pearl with different color)  they all work so well for me, I'll never get rid of them ever. 😊

The IQ Gold at 2000 was my favorite ball of all time and the IQ Fusion shiny was my ball I would move left with when the Gold started to labor.

I like my IQ Solid, I just feel it's very condition specific.  I like it when patterns are brutal but it's never in my THS bag...

I'm interested in what this new offering would be...

I was SOLIDLY in the "IQ Tour Solid is a 9/ machine on THS" camp from when it came out until this year.  I'm averaging 230 with it on THS through 3 weeks (9 games) - which is  admittedly, a very small sample size.  Right now it's giving me my best look on THS and I don't feel that I am leaving any pins out there or suffering any carry issues because of it.

Now here's the thing, the IQ Tour Solid that I am throwing has a fairly small VAL angle drilling (30 degrees).  This is the second one I've drilled up.  The first one was drilled with a larger VAL angle and it wasn't as responsive as I needed it to be.  The first one was extremely condition specific.  I'd advocate that if you've had one or are thinking of getting one, you may want to go with a layout with a smaller VAL angle than what you usually employ on your equipment. This will give it a quicker response and make it usable on the easier THS patterns we all tend to bowl league on while retaining the elements that make it an excellent control piece.

Yep there is some IQ Tour 30s NIB for under $200 on ebay.  I think they just quit selling them fairly recently IIRC.  If had that proverbial time machine would have got that ball instead.  Oh well my only other true solid is a Burgundy Hammer so sure when I start bowling on something other than THS will think differently.
