Title: New Releases - All-Road and Gravity Evolve
Post by: n00dlejester on September 20, 2019, 08:57:22 AM
My allllll time favorite core is wrapped around a coverstock that has a bunch of mixed reviews by the local crowd. And a new flavor of the HyRoad. Color me intrigued by both, actually.

I believe these are Korea/Japan exclusives. I may be wrong but my Korea contact just messaged me on the Gravity 2 days ago.

I received this info this morning as stateside releases.  Release date October 25th.

Relating to All Road, has anyone had success polishing their PhysiX?

Gravity Evolve is up on Storm's website, All-Road is strangely absent from both worldwide and exclusive.

All Road is up also. I think you were just a little early and the Evolve went up first

Here are a few ball motion videos...

Although the videos are not in English and I can't understand a word that is said in them, you can see the difference in the cores with the Storm Spec coverstock for the Gravity Evolve.

Go to the 4:00 minute mark in this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bu_Qn-pUho

The second one is all about the Gravity Evolve.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiO3d8XecKo

More on the Evolve - A 290 game...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-4HIE_M_ms

Lastly, one for the All-Road.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT3zn-6zwt0

The new Gravity Evolve looks good.  Reminds me of my Roto Grip Eternal Cell in color.  I feel an early Christmas gift is coming!  LOL!!   8) ;D

Peace!

Thanks for the video links.

Gravity Evolve does look pretty darn good. All-road looks like a bit longer IQ tour with a noticeable mid lane read.  Probably giving the All-road a go. Would like to try the Shape-Lock HD core since I was on break from bowling when it was popular. But I already know with that color combo, I'll throw it like sh!t, I just suck like that haha.

I will be curious to see how the Pro Motion and All-Road differ on lane. Still planning out my November order. IQ Tour Emerald is the only for sure at the moment.

Oh boy, the Gravity Evolve looks good. Kinda wondering how it compares to the Crux Prime though. Seems to me that the SPEC cover is so dominating that I'm not sure the difference between two different asymmetrical cores is going to be significant.

I used to loved the shifts when they first came out especially the shift and gravity shift I know the shift was particle pearl and the gravity used the R2X pearl but was a nice 1-2 punch never got my hands on an Attitude but glad to see it back

If Storm came out with a pearl version of this, I'd probably buy 3, sight unseen. Here's hoping a SPEC Pearl is in the works.

Difference will be on the backend. Evolve SHOULD have a bigger move off the spot.

Is that a thing just looking back to what the Shape-Lock core has shown in the past? By the numbers and core shapes that and the Catalyst core aren't significantly far off from each other.

They're working on it, but not quite sure it's going to happen.  Early, slow, and smooth aren't exactly characteristics you want in a pearl . .

What about the Virtual Gravity Nano Pearl? That was one of the best balls I've ever owned... same core.

One thing to take into consideration is the fact we had to put X holes in the VG's to keep legal. This would often change the shape of the core and make it roll earlier. With the new rules, we should see a more defined hook spot without the x holes, allowing us to see what kind of shape the VG can really have.

You liked it, but most weren't big on it. People want backend.

Can we use ERG Pearl? Or NRG Pearl? Whichever is stronger!

My Physix polished is awesome.  Length and big controlled rolly backed.

Whole lot of friction with those cover stocks is my initial impression.  Great if can find the oil for them.

And there's a difference with the way the numbers go, Shape Lock is lower RG AND higher int diff, so that's a net strength gain.  I've already gotten balls drilled, videos filmed and leagues bowled, and I can say the Evolve IS longer and stronger than the Prime.

The Catalyst core never was very torque-y down lane though.  Crux wasn't terribly boomy, Crux Pearl is one of the smoothest asym pearls ever period, and the Alpha is remembered so well because it was almost like high powered urethane, good traction with a lot of control, so the resulting smoothness of the Prime isn't a surprise, nor is the Evolve being stronger down lane.

Another note is that you don't change the core specs much on the Catalyst, and with most people doing pin up layouts OR layouts that will increase the diff, you're going to end up with a big DRILLED difference between the Catalyst and the Shape Lock.

Drilled my son a Gravity Evolve.      70 * 4 3/4 * 30

I did not like the reaction he was getting on his Vision.  The drilling used (40 * 4 * 40) it was flaring to early on the longer patterns and running out of gas.. the shorter patterns it works ok but gets a tad over under.

Evolve with the above drilling provided more length with a fairly strong later movement.  Will get to test on a longer sports pattern this coming weekend so i will get a better idea then.
