Front 21 with IQ Tour Nano
« on: January 21, 2015, 07:21:52 AM »
Lol too bad the first 10 were in practice!  Left a 2 pin for 299, just got a bit firm with it which is actually pretty good news for me, glad I didn't get soft or tight.  Ended the night with 770-something, had a shot at 800 halfway through game 3 and just lost the right lane.  17 for 23 on the front 11 now, 4 299s and 2 298s.

Tried a bit of polish on the Nano, and the results were pretty good.  The reaction is great at box surface, still gets down the lane and finishes strong, but a little bit of polish makes it cleaner.  I was able to hit up on it more at the bottom, get more length, but still a nice midlane read and a very clean move on the backend.  This may be the most versatile ball I've ever thrown.

Congrats!

Most people I've seen using the Tour Nano on a house shot have had it polished - which is not typical of most league bowlers (adjusting surface).  I am keeping mine dull for sport shots.  I will most likely adjust the surface once I get some more games on it (I only have 3 games or so on mine).

I will definitely change the surface for sport patterns, out of the box it reacted EXTREMELY good on WTBA Tokyo, and I've had it at box on house shots for several weeks.  Seeing Pepe on tv with his polished, he had a great look, plus I've heard a few other people comment that it was better than they thought it would be polished.  I thought it might get a tad squirty, but it doesn't.  I also took it to 2000 first and didn't go too heavy on the polish.

Ive fallen in love with this thing.  I brought mine to legit 4000 (i call bs that oob is 4000) and its like my iq tour solid but more versatile.  I have gone front 9 while doing my "dot/line drill":

(stand on five, throw a strike ball, next frame stand on 10, next frame stand on 15. . and so on until youre on the ball return)

with some speed and hand position changes. . .i couldnt really find a spot on a ths that it wont work. . .amazing ball.
