NO. 2 Drilling for Gravity Shift
« on: September 18, 2008, 03:15:32 PM »
I am thinking about drilling my gravity shift using the number 2 drilling. It will put the pin about 2 inches to the right and above my ring finger, the cg a little to the right and in  the center of grip and the key(mb) to the right of my thumb about two inches.

What type of reaction should I expect??

Thanks

CC

The first question is, is your gravity shift a pro cg ball or close to it? From this drilling, you probably will get some length but will also read in the middle part of the lane and have a strong finish to it, but that will depend on the oil pattern you are throwing it on and surface prep.

No. It is 3.32 to 3.5 - 4  pin.

Modified THS, out of bounds outside of 5, and not a flood in the middle.

I am not looking for skid flip. Want to get through the heads with some midlane read and a smoother reaction on the backend. That is why I am considering number 2 as opposed to no. 1 drill.

OOB finish to start with, but can modify if needed.  My best look is generally 100 abralon with light polish.

Looking for a versatile drill. Would like to be able to play the ball on a modified USBC shot, when our house puts it out as well.

Ok, you could drill it that way, then throw it and see what it does, if it is a little too much on the back end, put a hole close to your pap that should make it some what smoother. Hope that helps.

Now have you talked to your ball driller about a suggestion on a layout?
