IQ tour Nano - Help
« on: June 02, 2015, 02:54:45 AM »
I have been using IQ tour nano for a while, the ball is amazing yet I think I still can't get the most out of it because of the big angle I create due to my high rev and relatively average speed, basically I need a little bit of push down lane, so is it okay to polish the IQ tour nano and make shine, or would that affect the coverstock in a bad way.

Thank you

People have had success in going with a higher grit on their IQTN.  The OOB is 4000 grit so depending on what you have to work with, just go a bit higher from there.  Could be a worn 4000 pad or light polish.  For me, I don't make too big a jump when changing surfaces.  I usually make incremental changes till I find the sweet spot.

Use a 3000 or 4000 abralon for 20 to 30 seconds on the spinner. The IQTN comes with a 500/4000 finish, 30 seconds with a 500, 5 seconds with a 4000 so it is very aggressive OOB.

I have an IQ Tour Nano with a pin over ring with the CG kicked out layout and OOB surface, but I didn't like the reaction I was getting.  I took the surface to 500 and then applied some polish and it definitely changed the look for the better (for me).

I don't know if this answered your question, but it can show that polish can change things for the better or worse (had that happen before).

Thanks Everyone, all of that was helpful, I ended up polishing it and I had a great back end reaction, now it's more controllable and carried very well on light hits, I just loved it this way.
