Title: Optimus vs Hysteria?
Post by: todvan on September 13, 2014, 04:41:39 PM
Has anyone thrown both the Optimus and the Hysteria yet?  How do they compare?

I am looking for a medium to medium heavy oil ball that gets down the lane a bit further, saving energy release for the back part of the lane, but not as much as, say, a HighRoad Pearl.

Thanks!

Hysteria, much less sensitive to oil downland and not as rolly. Plus, the Hysteria and Hyroad Pearl would cover more conditions than an Optimus/Hyroad Pearl combo in my estimation.

Hysteria is excellent. I'm throwing mine at 4000 and it's very versatile. Tighter lines or opening things up the ball is consistent and predictable. Very close to the Nomad solid with a stronger cover.

Thanks guys.  I have been comparing ball stats a little more....I'm actually looking for a ball for med/heavy that has some backend.  I have a Brunswick Meanstreak Beatdown still like new with a control layout - medium and smooth as can be - stats look a LOT like the Hysteria, so maybe I need more backend than Hysteria without going too strong or too weak.

How does the Wrecker compare?   Would a strong backend layout on one of these be good?  Or can the Hysteria provide more backend if given the proper layout?  Thanks!

i would look at a hyroad  if you want to stay with storm/roto. if need be you could take the polish off. the totally defiant is also pretty long and strong. they are on close out at buddies i believe
