This might be the dumbest question I have ever asked, but, what percent of Hy-Roads are thrown at box vs adding surface?
-
Yeah, to be fair that is a pretty dumb question that no one could possibly know with the exception of God.
I have an original HyRoad and I never threw it at the 1500 polished surface like Impending Doom does all his stuff. I broke the cover with a used 3000 pad and it is good when there is still some head oil and the spot is really defined....

I've got a hyroad live, overseas version of the hyroad, at 3000 grit. works nice for when i bowl one handed. going to take it back to factory when i completely take over two hands
-
Majority probably lane shined to all get out considering majority of people don't have spinners and if they ever do resurface probably just get it factory like from PSO.
-
Michael,
I'd actually advise you to consider going the other direction. When you're bowling two-handed, you're probably going to need to use more surface in order to keep balls from going 45 feet and then turning sideways. When I bowled 2-handed, my Hyroad was very good for me at matte 1000-2000. When I kept the shine on it, it was just way too long and snappy.

my weaker equipment is better polished for me. my turmoil is great at its oob finish, but my halo pearl i can't keep on the right side of the lane. thats going to be hit with a lot of surface
