Who has verified "dud" first batch vs. "success" second batch??

The serials have the year it was made along with the month. Plus, you can usually tell by the colors. The "newer" Phaze looks more like the overseas version (less weird looking and more vibrant colors). Id it says the ball was made after March, you'll have the newer batch. If zi were you, I'd target one made after May (personal preference).

 How can you tell from looking at the serial number, what the date of manufacture is? I am looking at a used phase and received a picture of the serial number.

Coloring is the first clue and the fact that it also pretty much sucks.  I have seen it in person.  First versus second, it almost rolls like it's a different coverstock to be honest, idk why. 

I have read on Facebook from a storm employee it was due to the temp as they were poured in January, but idk how they effects the ball motion and carry. 

I had the first batch it's in my top 3 worst balls all time, pretty hard to make that list. 

Does this one look like first or second batch?

mine was a lighter color and definitely very condition specific. hard to go by a photograph for the color  I was told by a reliable source that the Ballards did a small batch with r2s pearl instead of current cover. correction it was a phaze international

 Is the year the first two numbers?
