Anyone had a chance to compare these two?
-
I would imagine the on is cleaner with more off the spot!
-
Haven't thrown a Phaze II, but my On is a beast on everything. I actually have to back my hand out of it so it doesn't go nuts off the spot.
-
Would you guys guess both their coverstocks to be less aggressive/require less oil than the Haywire?

According to the chart I have .....the phaze 2 cover is weaker than NRG and from what we know NRG weaker than the Hyper/haywire cover microbite 80H
Should be
MicroDNA NoRules
GI-16 Alpha
80h microbite Haywire
NRG Nano
GI-15 lock
TX-16 -phaze II

I don't know the strength of the Storm and Roto covers, but 74 response cover is strong off the spot without burning up early.

Idk where the 74 response fits in.
Doom do u think the numbers at roto and the numbers at 900 global match up?
Most of rotos high end is in the 70's as well.
With their top cover or two at 80
-
I guess 74 response would be close, but I know that the 74 on the Network and the Dream covers are different monsters. The newer cover is much harder off the spot at the same surface.
-
Hmm I'm so conflicted on which one to pull the trigger on. I like them both. I'm sure come end of November when I order it there will be something else announced that may or may not be a third option. I would expect an HP4 ball to drop for Roto-Grip, and a moderate motion MH oil ball for Motiv.
-
Motiv won't have anything until December, due to the Primal Fear being released on Halloween. I would expect that if there is a HP4 introduction, it would be the No Rules Pearl. I know I'm biased, but you can not go wrong with the Dream On. I haven't seen a bad one thrown.

Anyone compared the Phaze II with the Alpha Crux?
-
Out side of the obvious Asym vs Sym difference, the Phaze 2 will be longer and slower response to the friction compared to the Dream On. I can imagine the 2 being a good 1-2 combo. Same with the Alpha.
-
The Dream On with the Response 74 is too good to pass imo. I would get that because the Phaze II will stick around for a bit.

So it's that's good?
-
At first I didn't like the F74 on the BHP but now I'm a big fan of it's versatility and the different cores it is wrapped around.
-
I've decided to go with the Dream On and see what I think about it. I figure the Phaze II will still be around in a couple months if I want to also try it out. Typically cleaner angular pieces work a touch better for me and it sounds like the Dream On is just that of the two.
-
My Dream On is so good, it's not fair. Seriously.
-
Doom,
You seem to really like your Dream On, and this ball has my interest. Care to share what the layout is on it, and what your release specs are? Feel free to offer any other info about it also. Thanks.
-
I laid mine out 60*5*40, and left it out of box. I don't usually have a problem getting the ball around the corner, so I'm around the ball a bit. Don't have exact specs, but when I go to get on it, this ball can create some angle. I do need some oil to push it down the lane, but it's really useful when I see some volume because the cover reads the pattern well, but it recovers so well when it hits the friction. It also carries like a Mack Truck when it hits. Seriously impressed.
-
Thanks for the insight. Sounds very promising. The only pearl I have, a VG Nano Pearl, is typically pretty rolly for me, and I would prefer something more angular off the spot. Sounds like the Dream On might be that ball. Might have to drop a few Xmas hints to the wife...

I'm seriously looking at grabbing a NIB. Great match of cover and core.
