Nova question
« on: February 17, 2022, 03:59:49 PM »
How does the Nova stack up to the Helios and Zen Master ?  I know the Nova is an assym, so I assume it will change direction faster but the use of the R2X coverstock make me think it will go a little longer than the typical big assym with surface.  This isn't the same class as the Proton.

That also makes me think that the Nova, Helios, and Zen Master all take the same place in a 6 ball arsenal ?

Yes but no.

Helios cover is on par with NEX. I think the Zen Master cover is close but maybe still a little stronger, as a comparison I'd probably consider it R3X/R4S

I think I'd put the Nova in between the RST X-1 and RST X-2. Cleaner than the X-1 but more traction than the X-2. Definitely a second tier asymm below the big balls like the Proton, Reality, and Gem

Zen Master cover is definitely stronger than the Helios. Nova sits between the Reality/Proton and X1/Altered Reality. Big engine versatile cover could at the top of the bag for folks that just bowl on THS.
