Anyone have experience with both the Physix and the Crux? Thinking of getting a Physix, but I already have a Crux I like, and wonder if they are too similar to have both. Typically go with pin up layouts for sharper backends.

Which Crux? Original? Pearl? Alpha? Prime? Omega?

I don't think you're going to get a better comparison of the 2 (along with the Gravity Evolve) than this video:

It's the original Crux. It's a decent ball and I do pretty good with it along with my Sync.. Videos I've seen make the Physix look quicker and sharper downlane than either one.

That's a great comparison video from Luke, even though it doesn't have the original Crux in it, instead the Crux Prime. But it's the same core and the shape looks similar to my Crux. Definitely like the looks of the Physix, at least in Luke's hands, lol.

Never had the original so I can’t help. Sorry

It is. The Catalyst core in the Crux balls is more rolly than the one used in the PhysiX. I wouldn't say the two are similar and each could fit in the same bag, especially given how many games the Crux must have on it by now.

Having owned both, I would say they are similar but the Physix, with the nano cover is more aggressive in oil. The Physix will shape more in oil, and lay down more when the heads start going. They are both pretty smooth. If I had to pick one to carry, I'd take the Physix without hesitation. You do not need both if you are just bowling leagues.
