Title: Polish on a Dimension
Post by: gunbunn19g on January 15, 2010, 02:36:02 PM
Has anyone had any experience polishing a Dimension?  I have enough balls that are similar surfaces and would like to try this out sanded to 4000 and polished to see what kind of reaction i could get ut of it.  Any thoughts?

I polished mine when I had it. Do believe I did it over 2000 abralon but I don't remember. The ball still rolled heavy and acted like the box finish, just a little more length and it was able to be used longer on a house shot as it wouldn't roll up way to early and hook out.

I had bad results with my Dimension polished. I put the same surface on my dimension that I always do with my gravity shift. What I wanted was a gravity with a bit more midlane roll just to see what it would be like. Well what I got was a dart. My Gravity reacted the same as always but my Dimension would never pick up a roll. I have no idea why, it seemed very odd to me. I did the exact same thing that I always do to my gravity but it just didn't work.

I'm sure my results are more outside the norm just giving my experiences.

I polished my dimension over 1000 abralon and then lighly scuffed it with a 2000 pad and im really liking the reaction. It gave it more energy on the back without losing the arcy looking backend and has alot more power at the pins.
