Title: Power Charge opinions???
Post by: Doug Sterner on May 13, 2003, 04:10:11 AM
Anybody out there have one yet? I have 2 in stock and am contemplating drilling one but I want some opinions before I drill holes.

How strong is the ball?

What's the best oil pattern?

Would it work on a PBA shot like the B or C pattern?

Thanks guys.....(and gals)

Watched my Teammate use it last night with a drilling similar to layout #2.

He got pretty darn deep with it & it came back well. with the drilling he had on it it went a little longer than his xfactor.

I know this isn't helping much, but I am hesitant to say much more since I myself didn't throw it.

I would say though that for a walled up league pattern this is probably going to be an excellent ball. Doesn't over react like the Hot Rod tends to, but still gets through the heads nicely.

I am not sure of the PowerCharge being a reissued Pearl T Road.

The coverstock is the same (or similar) but the core is no where near the same.

The Core on the Hot Rod is actually closer to the T Road core (minus the FE2 mass).

I just might put some holes in one...but wait !!! I just ordered a Blueberry Buzzsaw...hmmm....decisions, decisions, decisions.

Thanks guys...will continue to contemplate.

Doug.. those blueberrys can't be beat.. awsome overall balls!! hook when sanded.. skid when polished and hits no matter what...(right curly??) i would buy one if i thought i would put down the cherry bomb long enough to use it.. basicly they're everything the icon is supposed to be..except the blue does it and that great lane 1 hit at the pins
