I was on the storm website looking at their balls it shows the special agent as a medium heavy oil ball. Is this correct?? Everything I have seen on here is people saying its a heavy oil ball. I am just wondering. It also has the domination out hooking the sepcial agent?? I thought the special agent is supposed to be a stronger hooking ball. Also it shows the passion being a much harder hooking ball than the special agent and it shows it as a heavy oil ball. Just looking for some clarification cause Im not sure what I want to buy because I want something stronger than the domination.

I am thinking the same thing. I've had 1 hand me down Storm and it was pretty good, but didn't hook when there was oil.
I'm trying to decide between the SA and the Total Inferno.
Storm followers, please let us know.

My SA is a med-heavy ball....it is not, imho, going to work well in soup unless you've got a lot of hand. It is a nice hard arcing ball. The TI that I had (drilled the same as the SA) was longer and snappier.

Well I firmly believe that with the out of box surface it is for when there is more oil out there. But if you were to polish it, which I hear it polishes pretty nicely, it can be used for the medium oil. So it is pretty versatile coverstock

Which is more predictable? And, which do you think is better? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the TI, whereas I've only seen good reviews of the SA.
I've never bought a new Storm before, thus the concern.

I'm in the same situation as KC. A good objective comparison would be nice.
From what I have heard the Total tends to roll harder, earlier and quit a bit more as a consequence.
I'm getting a Domination so want a more early rolly/less off the spot compliment for it.

So i guess its kind of a debate then on whether it is for a soup or not then....I just want a ball that in a flood I can play from where I would with the domination on medium oil. Now I am really questioning whether or not I want a SA. I already didnt care for the widow or the infinte one. So I am kinda at a loss at what I want.

You said you were looking for something stronger than the Domination. It depends on your definition of stronger. Stronger early, midlane or late? SA will be much smoother than the Domination, more arciing motion. SA works its best for me from inside angles on longer/heavier patterns. Hope this helps.

i went to the tim mack clinic in england today and was bowling with my legends yeah baby! and i wasnt getting much movement at all in the heavy oil and my speed dropped about 3 mph and tim recommended a special agent for me for heavy oil like we had today.
but on the site it did have the passion and domination out hooking it an they are also more expensive. why is that?

Question:
If you were using the ball in "soup" wouldn't you want the type of early rolly reaction you guys are describing?
I thought that was what people generally wanted for that sort of thing.

I have found the SA more versatile, handles different oil conditions, better than the TI. Obviously, this is bowler specific......what I see with a certain ball on a certain condition with a certain drill may be different for me than you. For me, slightly higher ball speed, high-end stroker/low-end tweener type of revs; with same drill, the SA handles more oil, is smoother reacting than the TI which was a little bit longer and a little bit snappier for me. These results were on a THS.
