Just purchased a Thunder Road from a garage sale (for one dollar!) that is drilled pin above fingers with a 70 degree cg. It doesn't fit my hand exactly and I'm just wondering before I plug it what anyone thinks about the ball. It has a little track so I'll be re-surfacing it and giving it a full plug/redrill.
Am planning to throw it on medium/dry lanes with clean backends and your basic THS. Will probably change the drill just slightly to get it to roll better in the midlane and just arc off the breakpoint.
Anyone have any comments on this ball??
Thanks,
JamesCube

Gotta love the yard sales ! I found an old Crown Jewel that way. Not sure what I'm going to do with it,now, I used it to learn/start resurfacing balls, but for a dollar !!!?? like you, just couldn't pass it up.
If I remember right that was a Curelyon cover. At the time it was a good one, can't remember what it looked like on the lanes, but that was a long time ago.

I know, a dollar.
They had no idea what they were selling and I didn't tell them.
