Code Black impressions

Now that the code black has been out for a while.....
How is everybody still feeling about this ball?
I have a Hy Road Pearl, and for me, it is the most angular ball that I own. How would a Code Black compliment it, or would it? Would there be too much overlap?

I don't understand how anyone could hate changing the surface. Balls change surface when you roll them down the lane. They don't magically stay at that out of box surface. And losing value because of it? Very odd comment.

I was talking in regards to OOB surface I know that surface changes as time goes on, lane shine on dull balls ect.... the point I was making was that no matter how much you try with a spinner or taking it to a PSO you will NEVER get all ball back to OOB because they are finished in the factory on machines that blow an ordinary spinner out of the water.  That's the only thing I was saying.  I have figured out how I generally like to resurface 1500 grit to get it close to OOB for me and that's 1000, 3000, storm step 2.  But nothing is like new ball reaction and carry if you match up with a ball.  Some balls no matter what you do surface wise don't work for people.  I only have the luxury of bowling 1 time a week and can't practice as I have two kids so I don't really have the ability to tinker like I used to.  I find what works and stick with it.  I would love to drill up a ton of new equipment (and I do from time to time) but cant really justify it most of the time.

Jayhawk has done a lot of testing with their surface scanner and ball surface changes so much in the first 3 games that you use it, especially sanded finishes, that there's really no reason to worry about it, especially with the newer covers.

I'm still a huge fan, and there's zero overlap between a Hyroad Pearl and Code Black.  Shapes are different, and the CB is several boards stronger.  Hyroad Pearl compliments the CB and is actually a couple steps down.  I'll drop from CB to Hyroad or IQ Tour to Hyroad Pearl.
