I'm looking to get a Gravity
« on: April 10, 2008, 05:03:27 AM »
I don't want to overlap anything in my arsenal with the Gravity Shift.
Here's what I'm currently tossing:
Anger @ 500 grit
Gamebreaker @ 1000 grit
Clash @ 4000 w/ polish
Twisted Fury @ 2000 w/ polish
Ebonite Maxim
They're in order from strongest to weakest.. My Twisted really gets down the lane far. I'm thinking there could be a spot for the Gravity as a benchmark between the Gamebreaker and Clash. What do you think?>

get a Complete NV you wont go wrong, ball is rediculous.I have one and may be the ebst ball i;ve ever owned, many others that have multiple completes say its one the most versatile balls they have ever thrown. Thats coming from a staffer on ebonite.

Don't listen to this guy, I've bowled with him before and he likes the complete so much because we bowl on the biggest wall in Pennsylvania. Get a gravity, you won't be disappointed.

well that reply coming from someone that has a ball roll of a 2 handed back up ball. Yes center we bowl on is pretty easy, but used it on a certified cheetah and also 4:1 39 ft. pattern and rolled well on both. Yes i believe some balls roll well for different people but you can ask mr O'grady and he'll give you an opinion of how great the ball really is, we throw the ball nothing alike.

Complete NV and Gravity Shift are two totally different kinds of reactions from what I've seen.  I've seen about eight people throwing the Complete (it's the hot item now apparently) and it's another go-long-snap-left ball.  The Gravity starts earlier and is more arcing and continuous.

Thanks for the responses. I never really was considering the Complete NV as a choice. Thanks for the responses, I appreciate them! I think I'm going to go with a Gravity Shift as my next ball purchase! Thanks once again...

ebonite and dieing issues booling eh???i have to ring in on this right quick????i dont know why all these folks claim that there balls be dieing(whether it's a total nv,cell or other ball)when i know that i have some of those same balls that they do and not one of my balls have died yet.somebody needs to do an in-depth study on these balls and if they are dead or not.go with the gravity if that is what you choose but dont rule out ebonite just because others have balls issues!!!just because their ball "died" doesnt mean if you get one yours will die!!!

Never really had a problem with a ball from Ebonite. I just didn't consider the Complete NV as a choice for a new ball. I had my eyes set on getting the Gravity Shift.

Get the Gravity is you like the roll. The best guy in our league throws one, avg 245. He could avg 230+ with just about anything though.

The ball does read the midlane early, not your typical skid flip reaction. Great carry but needs oil.
