Hyroad???
« on: January 20, 2009, 05:57:47 AM »
Hey guys,   this is my first post on ballreviews although i am an avid bowler. Two leagues a week  average 210 plus in all three, and bowl almost every weekend in a tourney.   Currently my aresenal is cell, shift, grand illusion and a cross fire, plus other out of date balls.  I was just wondering if anyone could help me out a little bit.   I am looking for a ball to compliment the grand illusion when the lanes get a little drier. I was thinking aobut a hyroad. Just lookin to see if anyone could help me out a little bit.   Thanks and hope to post many many more times

Is your Grand Illusion to strong down the lane? It this is the case, I could definitely sneaking a Hy-Road in as it's a little smoother ball.

I have my Grand illusion drilled for a little more controll, it is drilled to read the mids a little sooner and when the lanes get a little drier,  it gets hard to carry with it,   most of the time i switch to my shift and moeve ten boards left, but that doesn't work all the time either. So i am hoping that a hyroad would be kinda a step down from the GI

I'd feel better about a T-Road Pearl in that spot.  I figure the Hy-Road is just as strong as the GI, but I could be wrong.

I agree, i dont see the HyRoad being weaker than the GI, to me they are very similar... I'd also agree with a T-Road Pearl or possibly an Illusion

Not sure how the Gravity Shift compares to the GI, but the T-Road Pearl is perfect for me when the lanes get too dry for it.
