If Buddies has it in the Storm Category then its a states side release. Looks promising, like a replacement for the Victory Road Solid.

It is indeed stateside, due for release 2/5/13 iirc.  More so a beefed up Reign of Fire, using the PFT cover vice R2S.

Just looking on the surface at this, the CAM core has a much higher RG rating than the Centripetal core. The IQ is more conditional because of the PFT cover and the Centripetal core i.e. really straighter or higher speed players tend to have the best look with it.

The CAM core might make this cover more usuable by all players.

That is just speculation and an educated guess. This can change when everything is released to the public.

Cam core?  This was the same core as found in the Reigns which seemed to be popular in the Reign pearl but not so much in the Reign Supreme.

Though there were many positive reviews on this site it seemed many Reign Supremes were purchased and quickly sold?  Why?  What type of bowler liked the Reign Supreme in such glowing reviews?  Up the backers?

Why did some real strong core balls like the Hyroad end up being so much more popular than this ball with a core that seems like it would be more usable on lighter league conditions than the HyRoad.

Thoughts?

FWIW... the C.A.M. core means a thicker coverstock...

Lucky,

Obviously, I'm only speaking for myself here, but the Reign line has overall been my favorite line from Storm, and the reign supreme being my favorite out of the three.  Even the very skid/flippy Reign was useful with the right surface.  I'm not exactly an "up the backer".

I'm beyond excited to see the reign return.  I was hoping for the R2X cover, but when I compare the Marvel(R2X) to the IQ(PFT), I saw very minimal difference in overall reaction anyway.

I'd like to thank JVStorm5 for replying back to me with a message regarding this matter.

Yes, I loved the videos of the Reign Supreme.  But I saw many a good 45 degree angle bowler own it ....for a short time.

Storm will be releasing their axis migration technology this next year. All of their core designs utilize this new technology and allow very precise layout possibilities.

For those of you that remember the first time you heard the term dual angle layout, this will be the same idea only an even more exact way to fine tune reaction on the lanes.

I've been getting these layouts for the past year from my driller and he just told me today Storm is ready to go public with the info.

LL,

It is hard to explain sometimes. My personal experience was the Reign in box finish was very skid/flippy. I hit it with 4000 and it was like I had drilled a different ball. The ball got more controllable, but still had that nice pop on the back. I had to do the same thing with the Reign Supreme as it was a dart out of the box for me. The RS was great for me when the front just started to evaporate and everything started up too early for me.

Now the Reign of Fire was a whole different ballgame for me. The ROF was always too early if I squared up, or not enough if I got some separation with my feet and target. The cover was one of my all time favorites, R2S. Put that cover on the T-Road solid and I drilled 3-4 of them up over about a year. Put it on a slightly higher RG core like the CAM one and I couldnt wait to unload the ROF.

The Invasion is great one to look at when you ask about cover/core combos that are not for the masses. The Invasion to me was very early and stopped unless I picked up the ball speed about another 1 - 1.5 MPH. I seen a lot of those get sold fast by guys who like to hook it as it set up too quickly to some of there likings. Now put that cover in a pearl version around the same Origin core and the Anarchy is a cult classic with a the big handers and many of those folks around here are still trying to find them.

Cam core?  This was the same core as found in the Reigns which seemed to be popular in the Reign pearl but not so much in the Reign Supreme.

I still have two REIGN SUPREMES with many, many games on them. One of my all-time favorite Storm balls.
