2Fast vs Fringe vs Freak'n Frantic
« on: November 27, 2013, 01:03:08 PM »
Has anyone thrown all three of these? I've owned a 2fast, which was one of my favorite balls ever, and a Fringe, which was an absolute turd. All of these claim to have the same core and cover, but I'm sure there are small differences. How would the Freak'n Frantic compare?

I'm basically looking to replace an old T-road pearl...drilling a hyroad weaker and messing with surfaces didn't quite do the trick... I'm considering the hy-road pearl also but I've heard it's much stronger than the T-road pearls were, and I'd prefer something a bit weaker anyway.  I'm also looking at other companies' equipment; Tribal, Thrash Frenzy, and the Ringers to name a few. Thoughts?

What about a Lights Out? I use mine under my Hy-Road and Scream (1000 abralon). It is my longest ball and also my highest beackend ball. The Freak'n Frantic makes it move a little later, but it revs up a little faster (meaning it will jump harder off the friction)
Plus, the R2S hybrid will be less over-and-under prone.
2Fast.               = smoother but booming (like the lights out)
Fringe.              = clean through the heads but rolly off the dry
Freak'n Frantic=skid flip andmore backend ro complement the frantic reaction
League: Pitch Purple, Destiny Magenta
Testing: MVP
Interests: Black Widow, Proof Solid, Idol Pearl

BTM had the Freakin about 2 boards stronger than the Fringe.
I have a Fringe and a Tribal. Totally different reactions.

Tribal is much cleaner thru the front and not as angular for me at the back. It is however more continuous than the Fringe and still quite strong with some friction.

Well I have the Freak in Frantic, and it is really close to my Storm Reign. In fact it has replaced my Reign in my bag.

Now I have been told that the Reign was just like the T-Road Pearl but that I don't know as I have never had a T-Road Pearl.

2Fast was the easiest to get down lane. The Freak'n Frantic, pushes like the 2Fast, but has more change of direction. The Fringe rolled earlier and more even than both the 2Fast and Freak'n. That is with the same drilling on all three balls.

As far as replacing the T-Road, that is hard to make newer balls roll just like an older ball. The Hy-Road pearl rolls very similar to the way the T-Road pearl rolled, when they first came out, on those oils. The current oils are slicker, and thus make the T-Road seem weaker than current releases. I can play current conditions with my Hy-Road pearl, very much the same as I USED TO play them with the T-Road pearl. But, if I were to use a T-Road pearl today, it would roll weaker.

Agreed.  They all had a different roll.  For me, however, the 2fast had the sharpest motion down lane.
