Gravity Shift - First impressions - pics added
« on: January 12, 2008, 11:51:33 PM »
Drilled mine up last night 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 (cg/mb) with a 3 inch pin buffer. I haven't bowled in 6 weeks due to a couple hospital stays so i was rusty for sure. Normally for me this house is very over under. This ball cleared the heads like they didn't even exist. It picks up a nice roll in the midlane and had a very predictable and controlled hook to the pocket. No jump when it hit the dry. I can see this ball becoming my favorite piece. I will update this after I bowl monday in my men's league at a different house that has more oil

I went to the Cell seminar and decided to drill one up since I like my Domination. I put the pin at 4 1/2" from PAP with the key at 60* and the VAL angle at 75* (pin under). I had to put a hole down the VAL as most pin under layouts do not roll well for me unless I do so.

I see a pretty nice looking motion compared to the Domination. My Domination is 5" from PAP, 45* drilling angle and 40* VAL angle (pin over ring). I usually have no problem getting my Domination to make the corner on house conditions and my Gravity was a little smoother off the spot in comparision.

I think the Gravity will be a nice ball with some versatility.
